Compact R&D Rotary Tablet Press Design
Supports formulation development, pilot-scale production, and small-batch manufacturing within a space-efficient footprint.

Rotary Tablet Press (R&D / Pilot Scale)
The Elizabeth EP-200 is a compact, R&D rotary tablet press designed for formulation development, small-batch production, and pilot-scale manufacturing. Built with GMP-compliant materials and separated tableting and mechanical zones, the EP-200 delivers controlled, repeatable compression in a space-efficient footprint.
Available in D, B, or combination multi-tooling configurations, the EP-200 supports output ranging from 4,200 to 18,000 tablets per hour depending on tooling selection. Equal-sized pre-compression and main compression rollers, each rated at 5 tons, increase dwell time and improve tablet consistency.
Equipped with a touch screen MMI, load cells for compression monitoring, double paddle force feeder with AC variable frequency drive, and direct turret drive through a high-torque gearbox, the EP-200 provides precise control for development environments where accuracy and flexibility are critical.
The Elizabeth EP-200 is designed for formulation development, small-batch production, and pilot-scale tablet manufacturing. As a compact rotary tablet press, it provides the control and repeatability required in research, scale-up, and specialty production environments while maintaining GMP-compliant construction. With up to 10 stations depending on tooling configuration and output ranging from 4,200 to 18,000 tablets per hour, the EP-200 allows manufacturers to move from development to limited production without changing equipment platforms. The turret can be configured for D, B, or combination multi-tooling, giving flexibility across tablet sizes and compression requirements. The EP-200 features equal-sized pre-compression and main compression rollers rated at 5 tons each, increasing dwell time and improving tablet density and consistency. A direct-drive turret system with high-torque reduction gearbox minimizes power loss while supporting stable compression. The reinforced steel plate frame reduces vibration during higher compression forces, which is critical in development environments. Equipped with a touch screen MMI, turret and feeder RPM control, load cells for monitoring pre and main compression, and optional ejection force monitoring, the EP-200 provides real-time process visibility. The double paddle force feeder with AC variable frequency drive ensures uniform die filling and improved weight control. For organizations focused on R&D, product development, clinical trial batches, or specialty production runs, the EP-200 delivers controlled performance in a compact, development-focused platform.
