Elizabeth-Hata International

Located in North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, just a few miles east of the McKeesport facility, Elizabeth-Hata International was established in 1984 to sell and service Hata tableting presses from Hata Iron Works, Ltd. of Japan.

Since this division's inception, it has evolved into a world-class engineering, design and manufacturing center for customizing presses and providing controls, testers and other auxiliary equipment. Hata presses have established a well-deserved record of excellence in the pharmaceutical, food and confectionery industries as well as in the battery, chemical, ceramic and powdered metal fields.

The creation of Elizabeth-Hata has enabled The Elizabeth Companies personnel to develop, through first-hand experience, an in-depth understanding and appreciation of press requirements and the needs of the various industries that use them. Hata's full-service in-house laboratory allows its technicians to work with customers in the study of turntable speed, compression force, formulation variations and tablet size and shape and how these factors affect their products.
