Automatic pressure control system
Every Hata press includes an automatic pressure control LW monitoring system which continuously compares every punch pressure by direct force measurement to a preset target range. The load cell then sends a signal to activate the fill motor, altering the amount of product supplied to a die if correction is necessary, and stops the press if deviation from the target range exceeds a predetermined magnitude for a preselected period of time.

A defective-tablet discharge system automatically rejects all tablets falling outside preset pressure limits. The system can be set to reject a single defective tablet, and the press will automatically stop if the pressure fails to return to the optimum s etting before a predetermined number of rejections.

Automatic two-stage controlled feed Elizabeth-Hata's patented, two-stage automatic feed system is designed to eliminate the troublesome material surges often experienced with gravity-feed and force-feed mechanisms.

The two stages consist of a powder supply hopper and a lower feed shoe. The computer monitors the amperage of the feed shoe motor, providing optimum weight control. Material flows from the hopper to the lower feed shoe only upon receiving a signal from th e computer. The system requires no manual adjustment and is the most reliable feed mechanism available today.

Customized Feed Controls
The Hata feed system components are selected to accommodate a full range of product sizes and material characteristics. For optimum performance, modifications can be made to the powder supply hopper by selecting the proper combination of interchangeable p arts: number of feed chutes, type of stirring arms, type of supply hopper blades and baffles. The design, size and material of the feed shoe paddles can also be altered to ensure smooth feeding.
