What lubricants
should I use for the upper and/or lower punches?
- On all new
Hata Presses, an Oiling System Assembly is installed which
uses a food-grade oil to lubricate the upper punches.
- Older Hata
Presses that do not have an automatic Oiling System, are manually
lubricated with food-grade grease and oils for the upper punches.
- The Hata
Press has an automatic lubricating system for the lower punch
barrels as well.
- Depending
on your Hata Press Model, lubricants that should be used for the
lower punches will vary. Please check your Hata Press Manual
for specifics.
- The lubrication
for the lower punches does not need to be a foodgrade based
material, because the lower punches do not come in contact
with the product compression area of the press.
